Edyth Bush Foundation Awards New Beginnings Matching Grant

CLERMONT, Fla. – The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation of Winter Park, FL has awarded New Beginnings of Lake County a matching grant to help fund the operating costs at the Mulberry Inn in Clermont, which houses moms with young children.

A matching grant is one in which an organization must raise the same amount of funds from other sources, thus, doubling how much the charity receives.

New Beginnings is a Lake County, FL community, faith-based non-profit organization that provides homeless people with housing, food, clothing, professional counseling, life and job skills training as well as job placement assistance. They also help people that face potential homelessness. They have a governance Board and audited financial statements.

“We pray that our community recognizes the need and supports the alarming number of local residents losing their job and home” says Executive Director, Steve Smith. “New Beginnings provides more than just a shelter. We help people get back on their feet, so they can become self-sufficient again. It breaks my heart to receive a phone call from a mom with children living in their car!”

For a limited time, your donation to the home for women with young children can be doubled!

Donations may be mailed to New Beginnings, PO Box 121129, Clermont, FL 34712 or donate online here.

Donations are tax deductible.
