This past month a young girl and her mother entered the New Beginnings program. After struggling to find steady work, moving countless times, and the child having to move to several schools in the past year alone; the mother and child now have a safe place to come home to. The little girl is making friends, and doing well in her new school. The mother is finishing her life skills and job training classes, and is feeling emotionally and mentally ready to re-enter the work force.

Experiencing serious financial struggles is a growing problem in our community. Lake County schools just released startling statistics, such as: 1,300 students are homeless and 53% of students are on the free-lunch and reduced lunch program. Unemployment is now over 12% and foreclosures in our community continue to skyrocket.

New Beginnings is committed to serving more men, women and children. In order to do this, we need your help! Please consider making a contribution to help us continue the mission to transform lives. All donations are tax-deductible, and will enable us to serve those that have lost their homes through the nine-month comprehensive structured program which enables the participants to return to self sufficiency and restore their dignity. These programs include transitional housing, food, clothing, professional counseling, life and job skills training, and job placement assistance. Through your generous support, we continue to offer the men, women and children with an opportunity to return to self sufficiency and restore their dignity.
